View – De Balie

The photographs which are installed in three windowframes of the Balie are views through the windows of living rooms in the parts of the world where the majority of Dutch immigrants originate: West Africa, Eastern Europe, the Maghreb and the former Dutch colonies.

De Balie is a Dutch organization that produces independent journalistic programs about art, culture and politics. Here the images could be seen from the Leidseplein, a crowded square in downtown Amsterdam, and from inside the center’s busy cafe.
