The wondrous sweetness of seeing
A personal film essay about the dilemmas which are faced by trying to picture the beauty of nature.

The romantic experience of nature can have a very strong emotional impact on me. It shows me what I missed so much as a city dweller.

At the same time, I also distrust these feelings and feel taken by surprise by them, like in a cheap, cheesy film.

As an artist, I have always avoided burning my fingers with pictures of natural beauty. Until that summer, when I relinquished my self-censorship trying to catch the ultimate idyllic setting.
